well gents on wednesday 8th dec i arrived at Witherington farm fishery ready for our Annual Xmas Match. at the draw there was a buzz in the air as everyone wanted to draw one of the lakes instead of the snake, as these had been fished on a weekly basis since the big freeze.
At the draw i got peg 66 Inner Snake, oh well maybe next year i thought and off i trotted to the peg. After 1 hour of ice breaking i had a resonable area to fish, and let my swim settle. at the all in i fed i small ball of Atomic Worm with a few pinkies, and to my surprise i had a 6 oz roach on my first put in, then a carp of about 2lb and the a steady run of roach and carp throught the rest of the match.
At the weigh in i knew i had done enough when i heard that the weight to beat was only just over 3lb, my turn and when i put 14lb 9oz on the scales i was so pleased. after the match everyone was asking me what secret bait i was using so i told them no secrets just pure Atomic.
